Where does our Church’s income come from?

Heatherside Church is the only one in the Diocese without its own church building.  This means our only income is through planned giving by Church members, and taking advantage of income tax relief through Gift Aid.  In addition to regular Sunday service, collections are held at Easter, Remembrance Day and Christmas.

Where does the money go?

Heatherside Church’s mission is to grow Christ’s Kingdom throughout our local area of Camberley.  All donations support all our church activities plus providing services and outreach work to families and their children.  Part of our income goes to the Diocese as “Parish Share” and is paid by all churches as part of its mission to serve God.  This provides, among other things, the stipends of vicars and curates throughout the Diocese.

Why should I give to the work of Heatherside Church?

Because we want every person to make a prayerful and considered approach to the way we use the money and other material gifts that God has given to us.  If you would like to contribute financially to the work of Heatherside Church, there are several ways to give:

  • The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) provides an excellent, secure and committed way of supporting our church.  By agreeing to the scheme’s direct debit system you provide a regular, tax-efficient source of income for our church (which can be inflation linked if you wish).  Joining the scheme can be done online using our Heatherside Church PGS link, or completing a paper form which can be returned to the church or posted directly to the scheme administrators.  Your personal information is kept secure.  There is no charge to join PGS, every penny goes to our church funds.

  • Make a donation directly to our Lloyds bank account using Sort Code 30-91-79 and Account Number 00444929 – remember to use your name as reference.

  • Make a online donation with Give A Little where you can make either a one-off or set up for regular giving.  If you are a tax payer you can complete an online Gift Aid form as part of the process.

  • By downloading our bank Standing Order Form, print off and complete, sign and post or take into your bank.  Again if you are a tax payer please complete our Gift Aid form which allows us to claim back 25% Gift Aid on your donation.  Please give your completed form to the Treasurer or one of the Churchwardens.
